by Fred Hahn on April 2, 2009

A UK magazine called Healthy is doing a poll – is saturated fat bad or good for us?

Scroll to the bottom and vote!

I've been involved in exercise ever since I became a member of The Charles Atlas Club when I was 10 years old. In 1998, I founded and established Serious Strength on the Upper West Side of NYC. My clients include kids, seniors (and everyone in between), top CEOs, celebrities, bestselling authors, journalists and TV personalities.

Nice — too bad we can’t link the article but good for them for realizing that will sell more mags.

Fred -
Speaking of fat…I’m no scientist, but citing a 29 year old study that included a cessation of smoking to make a recommendation for a low-fat diet is preposterous.

Hi Lynn – I think the reporters point was that a low fat diet was only ONE component of the study which resulted, however marginally, in a reversal of coronary plaque. The difference BTW, was easily attributable to statistical error. Dr. Eades discussed this at one time on his amazing blog.
Of course, Dr. Ornish shouts out from upon high that it was his low fat diet that did reversed the plaque. Of course, that’s agenda talking and not a true scientist.
